Dear Wildcat Family,

We have had an incredible start to the 2024-25 school year!  The energy and enthusiasm from students, teachers and staff, parents, and the community have truly been inspiring, setting the tone for a successful year ahead.  You could see and feel the excitement in the air at our first home football game at Trammell Stadium on Friday night! Our back to school events at each campus have communicated important information as well as provided opportunities for families, students, faculty and staff  to connect and continue to focus on building and enhancing positive relationships needed for the continued success of our students.

In order to maintain an environment conducive to learning, ensuring the safety of our students, faculty and staff each day, and the investment of a strong partnership with our local law enforcement is a must.  It brings me great pleasure to announce that Scottsboro City Schools has recently been approved to use state allocated funds designated for school safety and security measures to pay for the SRO agreement with the City of Scottsboro for the 2024-25 school year.  This approval will prevent the use of local general operating funds to be used to provide the much needed services of our SRO’s.

We have so many great things happening at each of our schools, and we are proud of the many accomplishments that are being made.  We are looking forward to sharing many more updates with you on September 5 and September 10 at our annual budget hearings.  I hope you will be able to join us at 5:00 p.m. in the boardroom of the Page Administration Building on one of these evenings.

It’s great to be a Scottsboro Wildcat!
